Top 5: Coaches to follow on Twitter

Athletes are not the only sports figures you can find on Twitter.  Here are a few of the best coaches to follow:

Steve Sarkisian-Head Football Coach, University of Washington
Even if you are not a Husky fan, this is an interesting account to follow because Coach Sarkisian gives you a great idea of what goes on behind the scenes of a D-1 football program.

Urban Meyer- Head Football Coach, University of Florida
Maybe not the most revealing or interactive Twitter account, this page reads more like a news feed for the Gators.  That being said, this account still provides some interesting information.

Pete Carroll- Head Coach, Seattle Seahawks
With more than 430,000 followers on Twitter, this is no real secret.  Carroll is a Twitter pro, and is best known for tweeting hints about the Seattle's draft picks in the 2010 draft.

Jim Schwartz- Head Coach, Detroit Lions
In a leagaue where some coaches don't know what tweeting is, Schwartz does a good job of providing insight into the life of an NFL coach.  Schwartz posts regularly on topics ranging from what's on his iPod to what he thinks of opposing defenses.

John Calipari- Head Basketball Coach, University of Kentucky
Coach Calipari does a great job of posting regularly, and is not afraid to post about things outside the gym.  For example, Calipari is constantly tweeting about family and other Kentucky sports.  One of the best inside looks at the life of a coach.
